What is the history of Pyramids?

The founders of pyramids are difficult to definitively attribute as the concept of a pyramid-shaped structure has been present in various cultures around the world for thousands of years. However, some of the most well-known pyramids and their founders include and the history of pyramids –

• The Step  of pyramids of Djoser, built in ancient Egypt around 2630 BCE, was founded by the Pharaoh Djoser and designed by the famous architect Imhotep.
• The ancient Sumerians, who lived in Mesopotamia, built pyramid-shaped structures known as ziggurats for religious purposes. These structures were often used as temples for the gods and were built using clay bricks.
• The Maya and Aztec civilizations in Central America also built pyramids, which served as temples for their gods and as centers for political and social activity. One of the most famous of these pyramids is the Pyramid of the Sun in the ancient city of Teotihuacan in Mexico.

It is worth noting that while these specific individuals or civilizations may have founded certain pyramids, the concept of a pyramid-shaped structure predates these civilizations and has likely been present in various cultures around the world for thousands of years.
